A Belfast café business has opened in new, larger premises after securing backing from the Investment Fund for Northern Ireland, managed by Whiterock Capital Partners.
Neighbourhood Café has moved to a bigger space on Donegal Street following increased demand and a significant investment by its owners.
RE-KKUR

RE-KKUR is a leader in the plaster bead market, developing and manufacturing innovative products using recyclate PVC for the construction sector. The business now produces almost 10 million metres of plastic building products per year and employs 35 people. All Rekkur’s products are made from its own recycled plastic, RE-22, a versatile raw material, putting the business at the forefront of construction sustainability.
Solarfix

A Mallusk-based solar panel design and installation company has received an investment of £1.5m from a fund manager.
Solarfix have received the equity funding from Whiterock after a management buy-out by Michael O’Donnell, now the managing director of the company.
Drinksology

Northern Ireland drinks company Drinksology Kirker Greer (DKG) has secured £6.5 million-worth of funding from Whiterock.
The business said it will use the investment – which comes from Whiterock’s Growth Capital Fund – to help it to reach its global growth strategy, with expansion into new geographies including Europe and the US.
AES GLOBAL

A Cookstown based company with offices in London and Florida is aiming to strengthen its foothold in the US market and expand its global reach thanks to a £600,000 loan from the Investment Fund for Northern Ireland.
Facilitated by Whiterock, the loan will enable Advanced Electronic Solutions (AES) Global Ltd to add to its 51 strong workforce and accelerate its next growth phase.

A Belfast boutique hotel is planning expansion after securing a £160,000 loan from the Investment Fund for Northern Ireland.
Facilitated by Whiterock, the loan has enabled the owner of the Harrison Chambers of Distinction, Melanie Harrison, to acquire an adjoining Victorian townhouse property.
THE BUCKS HEAD

The British Business Bank has announced the first deal from the Investment Fund for Northern Ireland after fund manager, Whiterock, facilitated a £100,000 loan to The Bucks Head Inn in Dundrum.
The £70million fund offers a range of commercial finance options including debt finance and equity investment to support businesses from all sectors in Northern Ireland and at different growth stages.
